The six regions of Leonida

Six regions have been named. Four have been shown. One has a single screenshot to its name, and one has nothing at all. This page is the honest version of the map — what Rockstar has actually established about each region, and exactly where the record runs out.

Last verified July 26, 2026

Rockstar has never said how big the map is

What is officially established is the shape of the place rather than its size: a state called Leonida, six named regions, and a spread of terrain from dense city to wetlands to national park. That is genuinely all Rockstar has committed to.

01

Vice City

The anchor of the map, and the only region Rockstar has shown at real length.

What Rockstar has established

  • The series' Florida-inspired city, returning in a modern-day setting.
  • Shown across more official screenshots than any other region — skyline, street level, nightlife and aerial.
  • Police presence appears in official night footage.

Where the record runs out

No district names, no neighbourhood map, and no size figure. Rockstar has never published a map of the city or the state, so anything laying out Vice City's boroughs is fan work.

02

Leonida Keys

The island chain and causeways running off the coast.

What Rockstar has established

  • Reached by causeway — shown in official material.
  • Fishing from a centre console boat, shown offshore.
  • Underwater environments, shown below the surface.
  • Iguana are named as wildlife here.

Where the record runs out

How many islands there are, how far the chain runs, and whether the water between them is open to free roam. Rockstar has shown the Keys without ever describing their extent.

03

Grassrivers

The wetlands — the most distinctive terrain Rockstar has shown outside the city.

What Rockstar has established

  • Wetland terrain, shown at speed in official material.
  • Alligators are named as wildlife here.
  • Airboats appear in official material of the wetlands.

Where the record runs out

How large the wetlands are and how they connect to the rest of the state. Rockstar has shown Grassrivers as scenery and never as geography.

04

Port Gellhorn

A separate coastal settlement, named by Rockstar and shown exactly once.

What Rockstar has established

  • A coastal settlement distinct from Vice City.
  • The Starlet Motel sign appears here in official material.

Where the record runs out

Almost everything. Rockstar has not said how big Port Gellhorn is, what it is for, or whether it matters to the story. One named building and one screenshot is the entire public record.

05

Mount Kalaga National Park

The state's protected wilderness. Named, described in a line, and never pictured.

What Rockstar has established

  • Protected wilderness with forest and mountain terrain.
  • Cougar and deer are named as wildlife here.

No official screenshot of this region exists

Where the record runs out

There is no official screenshot Rockstar has tied to Mount Kalaga. Two named animals and a terrain type is the whole of it. Every image you have seen labelled as this park is either from another region or someone's guess.

06

Ambrosia

A name on a list. The least-documented place in the game.

What Rockstar has established

  • It is one of the six named regions of Leonida.

No official screenshot of this region exists

Where the record runs out

Everything. No screenshot, no landmark, no wildlife, no terrain description, no story connection. Rockstar has told us Ambrosia exists and has said nothing else about it. If you have read a detailed description of Ambrosia somewhere, it did not come from Rockstar.

Named, but never placed

Rockstar named each of these in a caption, a screenshot or on the Only in Leonida site — but never said which region any of them sits in. Two are strongly associated with Vice City from earlier games in the series; that is series history, not a statement about Grand Theft Auto VI, so they stay here.

Landmarks

  • Leonida Penitentiary
  • Ocean View Hotel
  • Vercetti Estate
  • A Pegassi dealership

  • Sara's Unisex Salon
